LIFE WITHOUT OSCAR (My Time in Hollywood)

A play by Nick Cohen

Learn the secret formula for winning an Oscar!

Nick had it all; film star mates, a first from Cambridge and a BBC traineeship – even a family friend on the Oscar panel. So he swapped South London for Sunset Boulevard and set out to bag himself an Oscar.

See Hollywood Laid Bare! Watch the famous ‘Curse of The Oscar’ at work!

‘Life without Oscar,’ charts Nick’s quest for an Oscar and his encounters with the predatory pack of Los Angeles producers, agents and studio heads. Drawing on film reference this solo show is a cautionary tale for anyone aiming to make it big in Hollywood.....

Nick Cohen worked with Sacha Baron-Cohen and Rachel Weisz at Cambridge before becoming a BBC Drama Director and directing several feature films.

Life Without Oscar has been developed with the support of the Liverpool John Moore University Drama Department and members of the Woods Hole Theatre in Massachusetts.
