‘PLAY’ The Heart Of Improv Performance - using physicality to gain an insight into:
The essence of ‘Play’
The essence of 'Reaction'
The essence of 'Listening'
The essence or 'Relationship'
Through a series of games, exercises and discoveries explore your playfulness. How present are you? What do we truly show the audience? Is it 'your' scene or 'our' scene? Focusing on physicality and non verbal work to inform improvisation technique, long or short form. This workshop is physically active, energetic and fun - bring soft flat shoes, comfortable clothing and an open mind!

Philip Pellew
With more than 30 years of improvisational experience, Philip is an actor with a specialist background in Physical Theatre. Directors he has worked with includes Zeffirelli, Ninagawa, Lindsay Kemp and he is a founder member of the David Glass Ensemble. Philip is a cast member of the Olivier Award winning SHOWSTOPPERS, the improvised musical appearing in London's West End. Other Improv credits include Theatresports at the Donmar Warehouse, Hamlet Improvised, The Impro Musical and Impropera.
